ARCh is a charity which recruits, trains, places, and supports volunteer reading helpers who go into primary schools in Oxfordshire to help children with reading. We have a growing network of volunteers around the county and we work in over 100 primary schools in Oxfordshire and support around 800 children in the county each week.

Our reading helpers are equipped with an ARCh Book Box containing a variety of excellent books and games to use with children who are struggling with their reading. There are many reasons why they may be struggling and the support of an interested adult who will listen and visit them twice a week for the whole school year really does make a difference to these children’s lives.

• The average cost to the charity of this highly effective service is £900 per volunteer per year
• ARCh asks schools to contribute £555
• We are asking for you to help by funding the cost of one volunteer £900 for one year.
